![]() ![]() It's a great way to support our local scene while enjoying some great tunes! Every weekend they feature live music from some of Houston's most talented country artists. In my opinion, one of the best aspects about The Continental Club is its commitment to booking local acts. From warm pretzels to gourmet mac&cheese, you can find something to satisfy your cravings without having to leave the bar! The food at The Continental Club is outstanding too. The jukebox also has an amazing selection - it's like traveling back in time! The rotating DJs spin an eclectic mix of new and classic country hits that keep everyone on their feet all night long. The dance floor is huge and gets packed every night. The lights are dimly lit, the staff friendly and professional, and the drinks reasonably priced. The atmosphere is perfect for a night of country music and dancing. You might also want to check out the best after hours club in Houston. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great atmosphere, drinks at reasonable prices and an energetic crowd. Overall, Shady Acres Saloon is one of the best country bars in Houston. The crowds at Shady Acres Saloon were great too it's definitely one of Houston's favorite spots for country fans! It was always packed with people out for a good time, who really got into the music and dancing when things got going later in the evening. The bartenders were friendly and I made sure to sample several varieties! The drinks were my favorite part of the night a good selection of beer on tap and liquor for mixed drinks are available at affordable prices. Not only that, but they had all the great country music playing - from Loretta Lynn to Johnny Cash - so there was always something familiar and fun to listen to. With wooden accents, plenty of neon signs, and flickering lights illuminating the dance floor, it felt like I'd stepped back in time to a '50s-era honky tonk. This bar also hosts UFC viewing parties, stand up comedy and much more.Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere. Its history is as rich as the town in which it lives, so if you want to see a genuine piece of the Wild West, this is a great place to do it. In the summer, the bar hosts concerts on its patio, so you can enjoy a band without feeling stifled. ![]() Its mainstage hosts a variety of musicians, including local and national country bands. One of the oldest watering holes in the metro area, Buffalo Rose Saloon has been around since the height of the Gold Rush. On Wednesdays from 8 to 9 p.m., Charlie's hosts country dancing lessons with Willy, so if you're the type with two left feet, you can brush up on the steps prior to your night out. It is a fun place in which to mingle with people from the neighborhood, and campy theme nights always make for a good time. One of Denver's oldest gay bars, Charlie's is popular with locals of all types. Located near the Ogden Theater, Charlie's is a fun place to hang out after a show. Once in a while, the DJ will throw a random Top 40 track into the mix as well, which attracts a wide variety of people. ![]() Stampede also has a restaurant, a mechanical bull and pool tables. Its elevated dance floor separates dancers from drinkers, so you can chill in your own comfort zone. With seven different bars, it's pretty easy to get a drink without having to wait or cram in with a lot of people. Grizzly Rose also hosts country dancing lessons, and 18+ nights, so teens can join in on the fun.Īnother popular venue, Stampede is as fun for its people watching as it is for dancing. Ample square footage makes for a comfortable night out without being packed in and having to push your way through a crowd. Its dance floor is separate from the bar area, so people don't bump into each other. With excellent drink specials, this bar is a fun place for all. Every weekend, people come from all over to dance and watch quality bands. With country acts ranging from Kellie Pickler to smaller, local bands, the Grizzly Rose is one of the most popular country bars in the state. ![]() ![]() A lot of brands will boldly state “gluten free” or “vegan” on their packaging to hide harmful ingredients present, and give the impression that this is actually a healthy food product. The next time you ask yourself if your favorite maple syrup is gluten free or vegan, dive deeper into the ingredients to first make sure it is not fake and toxic. More accurate imagery for Log Cabin syrup would be one depicting a lab and a “potentially toxic” sign, not nature. This processed & additives laden syrup is completely devoid of any nutritious or wholesome properties! Real maple syrup is naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The Log Cabin fake maple syrup is bad for you. What else could be the intention of Log Cabin here other than to fool consumers into thinking this is real maple syrup? As this case text on states, “nowhere on the product or in the ingredient list does Defendant explain that it contains artificial or synthetic ingredients but instead relies on consumer ignorance of its ingredients to hide the artificial, synthetic or highly processed nature of its ingredients.” Not only that, the packaging style of this Log Cabin “natural syrup” imitates those of actual pure maple syrups. This “natural” line has come under scrutiny and was also subject to a class action lawsuit in 2018, when Barbara Moreno sued Log Cabin Syrup’s maker Pinnacle Foods Group. Although the ingredients list in this natural syrup does not contain the toxic ingredients that its original syrup does, it’s still an artificial product, and still contains 0% actual maple syrup. ![]() ![]() Luckily Log Cabin is not legally allowed to call this concoction maple syrup, but it’s trying quite hard to imply that it is one. This natural syrup though is just a concoction of various additives like brown rice syrup, sugar and xanthan gum. Authentic all natural maple syrup only has one ingredient maple syrup. Worried that some consumers have found out just how disgusting the ingredients list of its original fake syrup is, Log Cabin introduced an “all natural syrup.” We are not sure what Log Cabin is trying to imply with this name. Log Cabin digs deeper into its bag of tricks and introduces an “all natural syrup” ![]() Yup, you certainly don’t want to be putting this on your morning pancakes. In studies on lab animals this compound caused “swollen kidneys, loss of bone calcium, extreme skin irritations and other precursors to cancer (3). Next is sodium hexametaphosphate, a synthetic compound used as a texturizer or thickener in foods, while also having industrial uses in paints, coats etc. Reason 3 - The synthetic Sodium Hexametaphosphate thickener in Log Cabin and its links to severe skin irritations and more. If this were real maple syrup, adding artificial caramel coloring would not be needed. Having a possible human carcinogen in your syrup is not good. The Log Cabin Original syrup in tests was shown to contain 11.5 micrograms of 4-Mel per ¼ cup of serving (1). Some types of caramel color contain 4-Mel, a potential carcinogen shown to cause cancerous tumors in mice (1). Caramel color is made by reacting corn syrup with ammonia and sulfites under high pressure (2). Log Cabin gets its color from the artificial caramel color. Reason 2 - Caramel color & the potential cancer causing carcinogen 4-Mel in the Log Cab fake maple syrup. The syrup then gets its taste from artificial flavors, which while not necessarily harmful, are synonymous with processed foods. Since Log Cabin contains 0% real maple syrup, it has to get its sweetness from an additive. Unsurprisingly, the first ingredient here is corn syrup, an added sugar. Reason 1 - So, what’s in this concoction (hint: it’s not real maple syrup)? Let’s get right into the actual ingredients of this fake syrup and the 3 reasons why they are troublesome: The label further has phrases like ‘traditional rich taste’ and points out ‘health facts’ like the syrup not containing high fructose corn syrup, guiding consumers to think this is a natural, wholesome and healthy product, when Log Cabin is the exact opposite. Perhaps their syrup comes from a similarly beautiful place? Perhaps the syrup comes directly from an orchard of maple trees nearby this cabin? Sigh. The syrup’s packaging, with the image of a snow covered cabin house, draws upon the purity and beauty of nature. A title it has sustained since 1887 mind you. LOG CABIN MIGHT BE THE UNDISPUTED KING of misleading brands. Potentially Harmful Ingredients in the Log Cabin Syrup to Avoid: Caramel Color, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Artificial Flavors Log Cabin contains 0% actual maple syrup. Why Log Cabin’s branding is misleading: Log Cabin has potentially toxic ingredients under the guise of a traditional & wholesome pancake syrup. ![]() ![]() ![]() The nurse has been made vulnerable by dementia and the weather conditions are only getting worse. You’ll need an integrated tech stack with a unified customer platform at its center. The digital transformation of the last decade may have been about the move from on-premise to cloud and SaaS technologies, but the next era is here-and it’s about holistic experiences that require not just the collection of accurate customer data, but the activation of it, too. Omnichannel solutions provide personalized, higher-converting and more loyalty-driving experiences, but the tools to create them are not the legacy systems mid-market retailers currently have in place. This leaves mid-market organizations between a rock and a hard place-especially as the global economy tightens and retailers look for ways to save money and maintain the bottom line. Occasionally, a single-point solution can make it through procurement, but data doesn’t seamlessly integrate across legacy and newer tools, and single-point solutions often over-attribute the tool’s impact, anyway. These organizations often rely on custom builds or legacy technology which require up-keep expenses, high-levels of developer management, and in-depth training for marketing teams. But your team can’t act on this new model because the average mid-market retailer’s tech stack is broken. ![]() ![]() This type of personalization is being used in sign up forms, email marketing, SMS marketing, on landing pages, and more. Then, to implement, marketing teams use dynamic content within those segments, creating what feels like a 1:1 personalization, but what is really a 1:many effort for the marketer. The needs and aspirations of the omnichannel shopper have simply evolved far too fast-especially during the global pandemic-and what was once table stakes is now traditional and restrictive.įor larger retail organizations built on legacy tech stacks, this means missing out not only on the newest marketing channels, but on the newest marketing strategies aimed at connecting with an always on, and everywhere consumer.įor the most part, those strategies are built around scalable personalization that uses constantly collected first- and zero-party data to segment customers and prospects based on similar traits and habits. What was table stakes for omnichannel technologies even just a couple years ago is no longer so. That’s because omnichannel’s evolution and progress has happened quickly, and not all technologies kept pace with that change. This is hard to replicate, and especially so if you are using legacy marketing tools. It’s exactly what brands like Graza, Sanzo, and Thirteen Lune have been able to do-build community and leave an impact on every channel they touch. Omnichannel marketing is how brands build customer experience strategies that improve acquisition, build loyalty, and drive retention, and reviews.
